Longtail boats - Patong Message Board - TripAdvisor

Hi Jacques and Chris,

We stay in Patong and catch a taxi to Rawai, from there we hire a long tail boat and ask them to take us to Coral Island.

They will want to take you to Bon Island which is closer.( We have not been to Bon Island).

On Coral Island...

For me cruise boat is not a good option for either, for 2 reason, 1) too slow you done see enough, 2) too many people and too impersonal.

Long tail is also not my pick, as they are very noisey. They can be nice if you have a private charter, but not for what I think you want to do.

Which trip? Personal choice, for me Phang Nga Bay (James Bond is part of this, actually the worse part, its over run with tourists and Touts). If me the scenery is amazing, and its a much more varied trip than Phi Phi, which has...
