Green Salamander Footage

This is an adult green salamander, about 3-4 inches long, climbing on a vertical sandstone cliff on the Chattahoochee National Forest near Armuchee as filmed by Nongame Conservation Section technician Nate Thomas. Green salamanders inhabit mesic rock outcrops and adjacent forest in the Cumberland Plateau, Ridge and Valley, and a small portion of the Blue Ridge ecoregion in Georgia.
