Long-tailed Macaque Feed On Batoko Plum And Mate
This video shows the feeding behaviour of the Long-tailed Macaque (also known as Crab-eating Macaque) on being introduced to a new food - ripe berries of Batoko Plum (Flacourtia inermis).
Batoko Plum is native to Eastern Indonesia. In Singapore it is an exotic plant and not available in the natural habitat of Long-tailed Macaque.
Included in the video is a brief mating scene which lasted about 4 to 5 seconds.

Long-tailed Macaque is also known as crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis).
The video was taken at Lower Peirce Reservoir, Singapore. There are mano trees growing wild in the Reservoir.
