Long tailed Skua, second summer, 12th June 2009, Isles of Scilly
Although scarce off Scilly, many Long-taileds perform exceptionally well around the boat, especially when Higgo feeds them prime tid bits. Note its adult-like look, but with barring in the underwings, other traces of immature plumage aspect, and shortish R1.
