The Alsace Long Tail Cast On

The Alsace Long Tail Cast On--Yet another version of the long tail cast on. This Long Tail variation creates a row of KNITS on the right side of the work --that is when you have finished casting on, and turn the work to begin row 1, you will be looking at a row of knit stitches.

This cast on comes to me from Danni3ll3 over on Ravelry. It gets off to a bit of shaky start--and first reviews other versions of long tail, at about 4:00 point, I start with how to do this cast on.

Yet another version of a Long Tail Cast On! I like this one--It alternates a basic long tail stitch with a YO over type stitch, and the result is Knit and Purl ribbing cast on edge.
