long-tailed weasel in the kitchen and cupboards
This is a young long-tailed weasel that I rescued from being trapped in my walls when he was about 6 weeks old. In this video he is about 11 weeks old. He has had 24/7 freedom to go outside for a while now, through a hole under the kitchen cupboards, but so far he still comes in to eat and play a few times a day.

Weasel playing with fleece I just hung from ceiling for him. He will instantly play with anything he is presented with. From what I have observed, they are literally unconcerned with falls.

Long-tailed Weasels at Point Reyes
The video shows a group of young weasels as they play at the entrance to a mountain beaver burrow. Long-tailed weasels are uncommon residents of the coastal scrub community at Point Reyes National Seashore. They feed primarily on rodents. Weasels are only one of many species of wildlife that utilize the burrows dug by mountain beavers. Others include spotted skunks, mice, and rabbits.
