Angry Weasel
While interning with a study looking at rodent populations a long-tailed weasel managed to get his way into one of our traps.
The trapping is not dangerous for the animals and this adorable little guy was released unharmed, though slightly peeved.

Long-tailed weasel at a burrow
I first spotted this weasel while driving down an access road to our study area. It was about 100m away standing errect in the stubble. Not hard to see as it was the only white in a sea of earthen tones and golden yellow. We slowly drove ahead till perpendicular to the site, engine off and waited. The burrow is on the edge of a field of cereal crop stubble and 3 meters from the gravel road edge. Not many people get to see these. Enjoy.
