A Townsend's Solitaire drinking
A Townsend's Solitaire drinking in Texas. These are long-tailed gray birds of the high western mountains, descending in the winter to lower elevations where they feed almost exclusively on juniper berries. Look out for their white eye ring, white outer tail feathers and buffy wing patch.

Birds (Mockingbirds) Spend the Night On My Patio
For the last three nights a bird has been sleeping on a wicker blind on my covered patio. I’m not a bird expert but I think it’s a Mockingbird because of it’s white belly and distinctively long tail feathers.
I set the camera up around 7:45pm. Around 7:50pm the bird came in. Roughly ten minutes later a second bird joined him and settled in for the night.
I took the video with only a 60-watt light bulb for lighting which is why it’s not as sharp as it could be.
